Design Improvement Register Information The purpose of the D.I.R. is to record issues raised related to Training Packages generally, the qualification's framework, or unit/s of competence. Issues can be identified from any number of sources, including trainers, assessors, teacher, stakeholders, enterprises, RTO's and any other interested parties. Generally issues will be related to one of a number of categories. These categories may be: Users of the D.I.R. can add new issues or comment on existing issues by clicking on the relevant issues and creating a sub-issue. All issues will be considered by a Training Package Continuous Improvement Standing Committee, which has been established to oversee the project. Appropriate industry and/or RTO advice will also be sought. Subsequent changes to the Training Packages will be handled by the Standing Committee and the ATA Board and forwarded to DEST to enable the required changes to be made. All ATA advice and progress information relevant to specific issues can be viewed through the D.I.R.
